Photography
Check whether the Sun, the Moon and the corona fit in your frame before you travel. A rough calculation using thin-lens optics.
Tips for this event
- The Moon darkens a lot during the total phase: your exposure changes during the eclipse.
- Use a tripod and a remote release to avoid camera shake.
- It is safe to look at and photograph the Moon without a filter.
